Record producer select box show different values based on user language.

I have a standard record producer built many years ago just in English.  I need it to work in French but some of the fields are custom and the select box values are in English.  I have had them translated to French, but I am not sure how to have them added and how to get them to be available for the French users.  I have enabled the French plugin.  I was thinking of created a new record producer for the French user and direct them to it upon login.  Not sure what is the best practice is here.

One thing that I have noticed is that in case there are items that do only exist in the system language, those will be shown when switching to a non-system language:

Here Invented Problem only exists for English.

Do all values have an entry for both French and English? I mean if the list of choices is opened in a separate window/tab, filtered down to table Incident and field u_problem_type, if grouping by value, do you see (2) for each values?

I followed all the setting changes and still getting both English and French when the language is French, but when I do English I do not get the French choices.

Unfortunately that partial list of choices cannot reveal whether the list is correctly defined or not. Would it be possible to attach an Excel or CSV export of the list?

choice list added.  I only have two entries for French.

But the symptoms do suggest the list is not correctly defined.
