redirect to /now/nav/ui/classic/params/target/kb%3Fid%3Dkb_home when user session time out here

Hi Experts,

If user's session times out when in the classic view of  "/now/nav/ui/classic/params/target/kb%3Fid%3Dkb_home"

One can reach this by :

"Self-Service" --> "Knowledge" (open in same tab) 

After session times out user will be prompted with 401 authentication needed. 

We have been given a requirement to be able to redirect the user back to this knowledge home page on click of login page pop-up to the user.

Please suggest how it can be achieved.

in PDI I see it is working fine, can someone give me some place to start looking for troubleshooting please
