So I have a reference field on a catalog item and when i type ahead lets say 'foo' nothing shows up even tho foo is in the related list. But when I select the eyeglass to search it does bring back foo in the results. I have the display value on the field I am neeeding returned in the search criteria type ahead and I have done this on other reference fields with out a problem. I am not sure why this one is acting different or what i might have changes to mess this up. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Sigmachiuta,
I guess the display value for the reference table has not set properly(may be 2 or more fields on the same table for display have been set) or reference attributes might be causing this issue. Could you please paste your screen shot here.
Thanks,
Sunil Safare

I removed all my reference attributes figuring by default it would search the display value. now I did change the display value before I created the variable on the catalog. In the form there is also the reference field but that one searches fine. Its like the variable in the service catalog got confused or something.
