Reference filed on Service Portal ignores sort order

I have a reference filed and list the times for users to select from.  I added a user preference to sort the what show by a sort order filed.  This works fine in service catalog but does not work in Service Portal.  How can I get the sort order t work in Service Portal.

Figured it out.  For Service Catalog variables I just needed to add a variable attribute ref_ac_order_by=u_sort_order.

Could you kindly share out the definition of the field that has the sorting problem on portal?

and the user sorting preference settings as well?

so that we could reproduce the problem in dev instance?

Its a reference field.  I have the sort order on the table in and made my user preference a system preference by removing my name and checking system.  It is just a string field with 01, 02, 03...

I am interested to look at the destination field u are referencing...so that I can reproduce this field in dev instance and see if it does happened at the Portal.

Could u please help post a screen on the definition of the referencing field? that contain the time slot values (01:00pm, 02:00pm etc).

This is because these fields are not OOTB.

I briefly made up a new field call NEW_TIME_FIELD in my dev (Kingston).

Seems like the "Sequence" property of a String Field seems working just fine.
