Reference icon field not visible

Hello,

The refrence icon is not visible for the assignment group field which is reference field. In the same form, for other reference fields, the icon is visible. The screenshot is attached.

The same form, when we view by impersonating another end user, the reference icon is visible for assignment group.

I have read that there is a known error that the reference icon is not visible. Is the above behavior also because of that? Is there any workaround for the known error?

Can someone help me with this?

Regards,

Reeba

Hi Reeba,

Please do  field watch for that field so it would be easy for you to know exactly what is wrong with that reference field .

Thanks,

Hi Pavan,

In field watch it showed only the client script which was making the field mandatory. Then I used debug security rules to see which ACL was working on this field, i got this in the result " record/change_request.assignment_group/read = true (0:00:00.000)
record/change_request.assignment_group/write = true (0:00:00.000)".  What should be the next step?

Hi Reeba,

Change request assignment group is having read and write field level access for that fields i am not sure whether you have admin access try to add your self to the assignment group and see you can get the field level access for the fields or try to keep inactive the write acl and then logout and login again and see now you can now access that field. let me know if you get any errors please include screen shots so if am not other people can help you.

Thanks.

Pavan

Hi Pavan,

I have admin access, i don't see this issue this with my account. This issue occurs for non admins.

The ACL is change_request.* for roles operational leader and itil. The screenshot of ACL is attached. The user for whom the reference icon is visible has the operational leader role and the user for whom the reference icon is not visible doesnot have any role.
