I have a catalog item with 10-15 variables with values assigned automatically via Flow Designer and everything is working as expected. Then the business decides to add another variable; is there any way to refresh the available variables in Flow Designer without losing all the data mapping done up to that point? If they decide to change anything else (add/remove/relocate) a variable I'll have to repeat the whole process over again.

Hi,
cannot you add variable in catalog item and then use that variable in flow design?

Hi Tim,
The action that you are using to pull the variables into the flow should auto update and display the new variable as a candidate for inclusion into the flow. I do not think you ll have to build it from scratch.
if you are doubtful I suggest try it in a sub production instance or personal developer instance first.

This is actually the problem; the variables on the item do not auto-refresh by re-loading the flow or refreshing the screen. If I reselect the item nothing changes; if I clear the selection, then reselect my original item the variable refresh but all mapped data disappears and I have to remap everything with data pills again.

Hi,
What do you mean by "without losing all the data mapping" ?
Can you explain in more detail, and show with an image what is to be lost.
