regarding decryption of password two way field

I have a field type of password" (2-way encryption). How can I decrypt the field value and save the decrypted value in the same field so that users with a specific role can see the decrypted value?

My requirement is that I should have a field where value should be encrypted and saved as encrypted in the backend. But if a specific user with a specific role logins to the instance, that user should be able to see the decrypted value in the same field.

Hi there,

The requirement as you are describing is not possible. What you could do as alternative, is for example having a UI Action, the user clicks on it, an info message is shown with the decrypted value.
