Rename the Change State

I want to rename the change State Authorize to Validate

I tired with the change state model tutorial but it doesn't work. Is there anything specific steps do I need to follow. Please suggest.

Few of the script includes were read-only. How to deal with those?

I have changed the label name and it is working without updating any script includes. Does this is fine or modifying the script includes are mandatory Since i just modified the label and the base script includes will be with values.

No. But for safer side take a back-up (capture in update set & export in XML).
