REST API to integrate emails instead of using Inbound Action

Typically, I would create an auto-forward rule for the email account and process the email with an inbound action. We have a business requirement to use an API instead of auto-forwarding sensitive emails. Has anyone been able to connect to Exchange via API to automatically create tickets?

You might wan to look into using Microsoft Power Automate to trigger a REST call using an exchange/o365 email.
