Restore a plugin to its original configuration

A customer has installed a plugin. Made modifications to it after install. Doesn't look like the modifications/updates were stored in update sets.
Yet, now the customer wants to go back to the out of the box plugin default configuration. What steps can be taken to ensure that the application/plugin is restored to its initial configuration? Just delete and reload the plugin?

Yea don't delete anything, that's a bad idea. The easiest way to do it is to make sure that the "versions" related list is showing on all the forms they modified, and then revert to the original version.
Are you sure it wasn't captured in the Default update set? You might be able to sift through there and find it.

Yeah I'm sure its in the default update set. But that can be extremely tedious and trying to make sure I capture every significant modification could be difficult. So, looking to see if there is a better way.

Well, like i said, I think the "Versions" related list is your best bet. Unfortunately, there's no "big red button" as far as I'm aware. Might be worth a Hi ticket, though?

One possible way is to perform an upgrade to Jakarta, and do NOT retain any changes made in that application. Jakarta upgrade will overwrite any changes and provide new features if the custom configurations were not changed. I also think a HI ticket can be submitted to revert and application plugin back to OOTB state.
