Restrict some choices in choice field in the filter of table list view for selected users

in incident table I have one choice field as state., and choices are new, in progress, on hold,  resolved, cancelled, closed ......but when I want to apply filter on state field in  list view of incident table , I need to resist in progress, resolved choices to selected users only ., How can I achieve this.....

You can't remove the drop down choices in list using any client script

But you can use before update BR and stop the record update if the new value is the one which you don't want user to update
