I have one requirement -create catalog item "Software Purchase Request", which can be used to create multiple request items (RITMs). Such as: we want to buy Adobe, MS Office and Dream Wave. we shall use same catalog item create first RITM for Adobe and then we add this RITM to Shopping card. After first one we use same catalog item create second RITM for MS Office, then as well same to Dream Wave. Therefore when we submit my request I shall have one REQ with three RITMs. We shall be able to create any number of RITMs as we want using same catalog item.
We don't want to use Order Guide. Can any expert give me some direction how to implement this requirement?

The client doesn't want to create too many catalog item so they prefer to use the generic catalog item to apply all software models. Is any way we can change catalog item title when we add it to shopping car?

Nancy,
I'm not aware of a way to do this. There are some other trade-offs/lost capability in doing this as a generic catalog item. This might be okay for a first pass to get up and running, but I would recommend creating separate catalog items in the future.
- Searchability - with the generic approach, you lose any ability to search for specific titles in the catalog easily
- Scalability - The software list could quickly become very large and difficult to filter to find specific titles
- Flexibility - If you only want to make certain titles available to certain groups of people, this is more difficult with the generic approach
- Asset Management - you will be unable to tie in directly to software asset management with the generic approach - maybe not a concern right away, but could become an issue in the future
These are just a few quick thoughts on this...
