Hello,
We are setting up an SCCM configuration and we have pulled our data into Service-Now via the Mid server. We are in the process of testing the process and one of the issues we have is we would like to have is the mapping from SCCM to Service-Now CMDB.
SCCM Resource ID maps to Correlation ID in Service-now CMDB. It is also the field that is used to match records between Service-now and SCCM. The problem is that a new Resource ID is created every time a device is added to SCCM. We would like records to match on the Serial number field.
Can we get Service-now to match on the serial number field? Is this controlled though a transformation?
Thanks for your help!

Could you possibly post more information about the solution to this.
I'm working through the integration right now and struggling to wrap my head around how/why the plugin is working this way OOTB.
Thanks,

We used version 3.0 of the Service-Now integration with SCCM and our installation is mostly "out of the box". We did modify a couple of the coalesce fields for computers and we continue to tinker with the set up. I would suggest performing a test implementation in a non-production environment.
We did have to have our DBA create the imp_sccm_computer_info table in SCCM so we could import the computer information.
One of the main problems we had was with software for each computer. We have had to do a couple of full imports to get our software counts accurate.
The check box "Use last run datetime:" on the data source mapping for SCCM Software allows you to pull in all the software again if you uncheck the box.
Hope that helps you out a bit. It's been a struggle for us. I don't think this is a very refined integration.
Thanks.

Hi Mark,
I am using the Integration - Microsoft SCCM 3.0 for my current project.
I need to import software usage information from SCCM.
But in the data sources -SCCM Software- and in the related transform map -SCCM Software- I could not find any field related to software usage.
I would like to know how would I bring the software usage information from SCCM into service now.
I am in a fix as this is required by the client.
Thanks!!!

Hi,
Has anyone tried importing software records using SCCM?
We have software records of the order of 800,000 records, and importing (and transforming) them takes about 18-20 hours. This is fine if the data sync is scheduled once a day, but we need to sync data every few minutes (15-30 minutes).
Any suggestions on how to bring down the time for sccm_software?
The wiki recommends that the 'Use Last Run date/time' checkbox should be unchecked while importing software data which basically means that all the data would need to be imported all the time.
Has anyone tried otherwise? Is there a major impact on the software relationships?
Is there any other suitable method for this?
Please assist!
