Search option for Choice type field on Workspace App Shell

Hi
On the native UI, setting the attribute is_searchable_choice=true makes a search option available on chpice type field but this same search option doesn't showup on workspace app shell.
Is there any attribute or setting available for same?
Native UI : Search box appearing.
Workspace : Search box not appearing.
