Search "Assigned to" or "Name" in the CI Reference Field on incident

I am trying to figure out if this is doable but thus far haven't had much success.  In our last ITSM we were able to search the CI field on the incident and it would return not only the Name but also find any potential names in the Assigned To field.

So from a new Incident in the CI field, we can either search for "PC-105" or "Chuck Norris" who is assigned that device.  I appreciate there is a potential in certain cases users have multiple devices assigned to them.  Getting fancy having it return possible matches where the correct one could be selected would be ideal.
