Hello team,
I have a question regarding searching knowledge articles in service portal according to user´s language.
Customer´s instance has 4 used languages. They had "glide.knowman.enable_multi_language_search" property set to true so when we tried to find any knowledge article according to key words, the articles in all different languages were found but their requirement is to find only arcticles in user´s set language OR in case the knowledge article is created only in English and not translated to user´s local language, they want user to see this article in English.
Example: Our instance uses Italian, French, German and English and I set Italian in my portal profile so I do not want to see KBs in German and French at all BUT I want to see Italian KBs only (if there is KB in English and translated to Italian, I want to see Italian one only) and if there are some KBs that are not translated to Italian and are available in English, I want to see them too.
When I have "glide.knowman.enable_multi_language_search" property set to false I can see KBs created in Italian only but there are some other that are created in English and I am not able to see them.
Is there any script or any other possibility how to configure please?

Hello AG,
Thank you for sharing this link. I know about enabling or disabling this system property.
As I said, our company uses 4 languages. If I enable "glide.knowman.enable_multi_language_search" property the user who uses any other language that Enghlish on portal will see knowledge articles in all other languages.
Our customer wants us to configure, that the user who uses e.g. Italian on service portal, to find knowledge articles in Italian only or in English in case the articles have just English version and not Italian but they do not want to see knowledge articles in any other language which instance uses (e. g. French or German).
When I set "glide.knowman.enable_multi_language_search" property to false and I select Italian as my preferred language in service portal and I search for some key word I would find KBs in Italian language only (it is fine that I do not see KBs in French or German) but there are also published knowledge articles that contain the key word but they are in English version only, not Italian and I need to see those KBs that are in English and do not have Italian version, as well.
I assume the above mentioned property should be set as true but we need some script with conditions for this configurations.
