send approval request to approver and alternate approver

Hello Community,

I am configuring the Catalog Approval Request notification and I need to be able to have the notification sent to the approver as well as an alternate approver, if an alternate approver has been selected.   From what I can see, the approver is on the Approval [sysapproval_approver] table and the alternate approver is on the Request [sc_request] table so I can't find a way to include both the approver and alternate approver in approval notifications.   Is there something I can configure somewhere that will allow the approval notifications to be sent to both the approver as well as an alternate approver?

All suggestions and assistance are greatly appreciated

Configure the approval activity to have both people listed as approvers and they will get their own approvals. Also, configure the approval activity to approve if anyone approves (rather than all approve.) That way the first approval comes in, the workflow will proceed forward.
