Send approvals to the requestor

I have a use case in which I wanted to send approvals to the requestor. I am using the Ask for Approval action from servicenow in my subflow but it is getting skipped.
This is happening since requestor is same as approver.
Can someone suggest me any method in order to achieve this?

I wanted a solution in which at least we have some sort of acknowledgement of the requestor that whatever we have provided is as per his/her requirements.
