Sending Attachments via a REST API method (File size limits?)

Hi all,

Very quick question, struggling to find a definitive answer.

We're running an integration between two instances that sends attachments over and adds them to a specified incident. It works fine for most attachments however we have one scenario where a 34.7MB attachment is being added and sent however we're getting this as the response.

Now I've found this documentation which I think explains that the max size you can send over via a REST method is 25MB which makes sense.

https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/xanadu-api-reference/page/integrate/custom-web-services/refer...

However when we zip it up and send it (comes down to 7MB) we get the same response. Is this impacted by the gzipping cap? I'm not even sure what gzipping is and if this differs from normal zipping of a file. If anyone could explain this to me like a four year old it would be greatly appreciated!

I believe file size is causing this issue.

If you gzip or zip it the you should not get any error ideally

If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.
