Hi, The issue is happening in my developer instance. When i open an incident form i am not able to see the short description field.

Steps to reproduce:

1. It is not available in List view and List Layout configuration. However, i am able to see the short description field in the table definition of Incident. Later found that i am not able to see short_description in any of the task extended tables(Incident, change, problem etc).

2. I am the admin of this instance. I have checked the ACL's and have provided all the roles.

3. I have impersonated to another user who has ITIL role and I am not able to see the "Number" field also with that user.

4. Have checked all the Business Rules, Client scripts etc. but no scripts running on short_description field.

5. Have recently enabled Security Incident plugin and Vulnerability response plugin and all the roles for this plugin has been assigned to me.

I get the below error when i access the incident form.

Error: Search Service Error: The following fields are configured but cannot be found on the form:
Short description [short_description]

Hello Manikandan Subramanian,

Go to form and then select context menu(additional action) go to configure and select on form layout. You will see slush bucket so from there add required field.Changes made in list view are applicable to only list view and not  on form view.

Mark ans correct or helpful if it helped you.

Thanks !!

@Manikandan Subramanian Take a look at your ACLs on the table this message is being thrown on. I just had this happen last night. When I looked at my ACLs for the sn_er_case table, everything looked fine, but I ended up adding the er_admin role to a couple of the acls and everything worked again. What gave it away was when I looked at a couple of ACL records and noticed there condition section where there was text saying "User does not have access....". Mark this response as Helpful if you found it...well, helpful. Cheers!

Hello Rodgallegos,

Can you tell me the ACL's you are mentioning read or write?

Thanks

Akash

@R Akash I no longer have access to the instance where I was seeing this issue. However, I would suggest looking at each ACL rule on the table where the error is being thrown. The ACL I am talking about will have the Condition section filled out. This was 6 months ago, so I might be a little off in my recollecting.
