SOW - right now the mandatory fields are showing black asterisk, I want to change it to red. Is this possible?

You'll actually find that the asterisk and associated field border is red when the field is not populated - informing the user that an input is required.
Once a mandatory field is populated however, the asterisk then turns to black/grey highlighting the fact that a user can progress in the form submission and process.
You'll also notice, with the example screen shot you've provided, the state of the record is Closed. Therefore, all fields will be greyed out and read-only.
This is intended behavior. Try opening up a new record and view the same field similar to the below screenshot.

Those colors only appear for existing records, however, not on a brand-new record until the user tries to submit. Can the colors on brand-new records be configured?
