Hi Community,
We are currently implementing portal service in our company. The target users are essentially French and must get pages in French. We have loaded the French languages into their user profiles but the first connection (via the login page service portal) always opens the portal in English.
Have you ever encountered this problem?
Do you have a solution to force the login language?

The problem is resolved for me.
In fact, we just register the user and his default language French in the profile. At the first connection, the user get the right language. He isn't able to select another language in our portal so he will always connect in French.

Hi Chris,
I think it might be taking users to the default languages as english, Please check the system property "glide.sys.language" and change it to french if that suits your requirement

You can also reach the same property via the "System Properties" module after enabling the appropriate Plugin, see: Global language in the online Documentation.

Thanks guys,
for the moment, the glide.sys.language is set to English because the majority of ServiceNow backoffice users are International.
Our service portal users are essentially French for the moment so, we are looking for a solution for Service Portal based on the user profile parameter.
Do you have an other idea ?
