Service Portal - Knowledge Base

Hi all,

I know there is a trick to adding KBs to the Service Portal but cannot remember it.

I've tried this but it does NOT work:

To add knowledge bases to the Knowledge Service Portal, complete the following steps.

  1. Navigate to Service Portal > Portals and click Knowledge Portal (Knowledge Management Service Portal is named as Knowledge Portal).
  2. Click the Knowledge Bases related list.
  3. Click Edit to map one or more knowledge bases to the portal.

Any thoughts on why this isn't working or how to add the KB's?  When I click "Try It" from the Knowledge Portal, it opens a different view from the Service Portal.

Thanks,

Jonathan Hinkle

Thanks all.  We figured out that they had to be added under Service Portal --> Portals --> Service Portal. Then under the related lists Knowledge Bases, add the KBs.

Hi Anil,

I have a similar issue and upon looking for solutions, I bumped into your post.

My situation is that, the knowledge base from the backend is not reflected in the service portal.

In my instance, I have the exact same JSON format as you have shown here. No Knowledge bases are added here. How should I enable/add the knowledge base to match those from the backend?

Any leads would be helpful.

TIA

Glad to know your issue is resolved!

In your question you had mentioned that you want to add knowledge Base on Knowledge Portal as you tries same configuration on another portal. And actual issue was related with 'Service Portal'.

You can use below link while posting question and you will be able to resolve issue quickly.
