Service Portal Simple List - 'View all' view and sort not working

I've created a new page so that Portal users can review our list of Applications.   I did so using the Simple List widget and set the instance options as needed.   That was all pretty straightforward.   However, I have seen that this widget then calls a 'List' page when choosing 'View All', and that's where the issues start. The issues I am seeing are:

  • The List View I've given it in the Widget Instance is not being followed - it always just uses 'Default'
  • The sort doesn't sort the 'Name' field like it should be by default

Note that I've set all of these on the Simple List Widget Instance, and done nothing for the List page.   I figured if this was working properly those values should trickle down?

I'd also like to disable the ability to click on the records in that List view, but that doesn't need to be solved right now.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

What worked for me was adding &view=portal to the end of the search filter I defined when I created the simple list.   I don't know why but when "View all" is selected the view parameter is passed on.

HI,

Which release are you on? What I can see using the view in the options on a Kingston   release, it takes again the view as well as a parameter when I click on a record in the list. URL was like this: .service-now.com/sp?sys_id=2bd05d040f930b004cf365ba32050e41&view=advanced&id=ticket&table=incident
