ServiceNow Azure (DevOps) Integration

Hi.

We would like to integrate our Azure DevOps with ServiceNow tickets (i.e. incident, change, CMDB, etc). Can we link ServiceNow tickets to the DevOp bug records that we have? For example: the comments/status that we have in Azure DevOps would flow from DevOps to the ServiceNow ticket.

Is it possible to have bidirectional? i.e. Information from ServiceNow to DevOps assure.

Best,

Tommy

Hi

It is possible to integrate Azure DevOps with ServiceNow to link DevOps bugs to ServiceNow tickets, and you can have bidirectional information flow between the two platforms, I use Exalate for this.

To link a DevOps bug to a ServiceNow ticket, you can create a ServiceNow incident, change, or CMDB record that represents the bug and includes relevant details such as a description, priority, and status and then sync this over.

Hi @tekkytommy

You can try out OpsHub’s free  Community Edition, which provides rich integration between ServiceNow and Azure DevOps. A ServiceNow partner and a certified integration tool,  OpsHub offer a federated integration platform that can help ease your integration journey.

OpsHub also takes care of the following use cases,

1) Integration Richness: OpsHub can integrate the complete work item information such as attachments, web links, comments, traceability, and inline images on ServiceNow and Azure DevOps instances.

2) Field-level Conflict Management: As this is a bi-directional integration, there is a possibility of data being updated simultaneously in both instances. OpsHub supports field-level conflict management in such cases.

3) Data Granularity: OpsHub integration solution also integrates history between ServiceNow and the Azure DevOps. E.g., between the two syncs, if the user modifies the status from Open -> In Progress -> Resolved on Azure DevOps, the OpsHub integration tool allows users to see the exact transition (Open -> In Progress -> Resolved) happening in ServiceNow too.

4) Supported entities: All System and Custom Tables (Incidents etc.) on ServiceNow and all work items such as Bugs, Requirements, Tasks, Test Cases, User Stories, Shared Steps, Iterations, etc. on Azure DevOps are supported by the OpsHub integration tool

Please refer to the link to know how OIM facilitates integration between ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.

We are happy to assist in your integration planning. Thanks,
