ServiceNow Instance Name

Hi All,

We are looking for a name for our ServiceNow instance where we are going to build new projects. (We already have Dev/Test, Prod). Does anyone have any ideas on a creative Name?

Hi @kathymorris 

what do you mean with "Dev/Test"? Basically an instance is either a DEV or a TEST but not both. And building new projects is done on a DEV instance. In case you need more DEV instances you could introduce a numbering (DEV1, DEV2, a.s.o.).

I cannot recommend "POC" as suggested by @Mark Guldhammer because ServiceNow has an own class of instances called "POV" (Proof of value) and it could be misleading when using "POC" in the communication with ServiceNow.

Hi, 

The service now name follows the standardization 

https://businessnamedev.service-now.com

For Example https://snowdev.service-now.com, https://snowtest.service-now.com, https://snowprod.service-now.com,https://snowpreprod.service-now.com

Here, snow is the business name. Similar, you should follow the same.

And by the way:
"snow" is not the abbreviation for ServiceNow!!!! NEVER!
