Servicenow to Snowflake integration using key pair authentication via JDBC connection

I have set up for basic authentication for snowflake integration using JDBC connector. 
Now, snowflake looking for key-pair authentication from servicenow side. What steps will need to

could you please let me know how you connected to the snowflake using the basic auth? is it through API or datasource?
