Set date field to today's date by default

Hello,

I have a date field on a form that I would like to be set to today's date by default.

I tried to set the default to: javascript:new GlideDate().getDisplayValue(); It doesn't seem to be working, what am I missing?

new GlideDate().getDisplayValue()

Tried your code but it didn't work (BTW the date field is on a form, not a record producer)

Hmm also on scoped form it works here.

So your issue is that the field isn't set. Is maybe some scripting interfering? Write ACL? Or is this also not working under your admin account?
