Setting value for lookup select box field

Hello

I have a requirement where i need to set the value for a field on load of form. The field type is lookup select box. Can we set value using label instead of sys_id?

Hi,

what have you tried so far?

Try to set sys_id in the default value of the variable and set Lookup field as SysId
