Steps to add background colour/image to a page or container:

• Press ctrl+alt+right-click and open page designer.
• Select the container as per your choice and add background-colour and image to it.

Thanks for the quick reply

I have already gone through the mentioned solutions but it seems like not working for me

problem is that in the SVDP portal, there is no OOTB page or widget where I can fit the background image

Hello @prabhjot5 

• Navigate to service portal -> portal -> select your portal 
• Check for the Homepage field. If no homepage is attached then create a page and add it as a homepage.

Then in the portal you can add background color/image or widgets to this page.
