Howdy Community,
This is a best practice question for using the ServiceNow Platform (global scope) in the Washington DC release.
Should a choice list choice (ex. a value in the install_status field )be added at alm_asset level or alm_hardware level?
But, I am afraid I already know the answer.
Logic- Hardware states belong on the hardware table.
So my best guess:
- alm_asset - should only have OoB choices assigned
- alm_hardware (& other tables beginning with alm_/ extended from alm_asset)
should have choices assigned relevant to table (ex. Hardware) - alm_asset / alm_hardware do not need identical choice structures
Any feedback on my best guess above, or the question would be appreciated.
