SSL Certificate for Scripted Rest Integration

Hi,
We have built a Scripted Rest API based integration where we are exposing ServiceNow end points to 3rd party for sending us the payload.
Current Authentication Shared with 3rd Party : OAUTH 2.0
We are able to get the integration working. But, along with above 3rd party needs ServiceNow team to share a SSL certificate to be shared with them, as they need that for security standard point of view when sending the request to ServiceNow. Also, if we use a Certificate then do we need a OAUTH authentication ?
