Suggestion on how to give access to users without itil role

Hello All,

 

We are in our initial journey of ServiceNow and we are in a situation where in we want to give access to all employees to work on problem task assigned to them but problem task analysts role consumes itil licensing.

 

Use case 1 : to find a way where in we can give or  have some kind of task assigned to user without using itil license for accountability and tracking perspective.

 

Use case 2 : Similar use case for knowledge management as well : where in want users to have access to knowledge and its creation ;also view other knowledge articles without consuming ITIL.

Hi @Servicenow lear,

 

I think you can utilize the Private Task [vtb_task] and/or if you have the HRSD module, you should be able to use HR Tasks as well (But that will require a different license).

 

In regards to the second use case, the short answer is you can't.

Even if you apply some customization to grant access, it would be a breach of licensing.
