Great question! While Support and Surf in ServiceNow share some similarities, they serve different purposes:
Support: This typically refers to ServiceNow’s customer support and assistance features. It includes functions like incident management, problem resolution, and user assistance to help resolve issues. Support teams handle tickets, troubleshoot problems, and ensure smooth operations for end-users.
Surf: This is often associated with ServiceNow Surf, a UI/UX framework designed to enhance user experience and interface navigation within ServiceNow. It provides a more intuitive way to interact with the platform, improving workflows, dashboards, and accessibility.
So, while Support focuses on issue resolution and user assistance, Surf enhances the way users interact with ServiceNow through a better interface and usability.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further clarification.

The Support sites is where customers request assistance to solve a problem in their instance. The Servicenow Support team uses that to manage their work and communicate to the customer. The Surf site is only for Servicenow employees and that is how they interact with the HR/payroll folks. I used both while working for Servicenow.
