Hi Dev's
Need solution
By mistake I have change the field type from "Reference " to "String". Now unable to revert it.
Any solutions will be helpful...
I have gone through one of the article :: https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0695947 - But unable to understand much. If anyone can guide me a bit.
Error Message : Error Message Type change not allowed. Invalid type conversion for field 'Child' on table 'CI Relationship'. Cannot convert from 'String' to 'Reference'. There exists data records (74) that are not a Sys_id.

Better is , take back and empty the values of field and change the data type.

Hello,
The error probably is because you have values populated in the field. What I would suggest is take a backup of the values stored in that field for each record then make the field which you want to convert as empty.
Then convert the field type save it. Then repopulate the values which you had taken the back up of.
