Table on catalog item form

Hi Community,

I am wondering if there is a way to create some fields on a service catalog form that has the look of a table (see screenshot below). I am familiar with the catalog table varialble - I DON'T want to use that. They do not want the add a row functionality.

So here is what I want to do.

Does anyone know if this is even possible just to get this look and feel. I am thinking create the fields and do the 3 in a row type of deal to give it that look, but just wondering if there is another way to accomplish this.

a) I want to create the look / feel of a table on the form

b) I only want to allow no more than 10 lines for this table

c) I am thinking about creating a table that contains the fields (database name, server, environment, and special instructions)

d) I would like to auto-populate the server name and environment based on the database name that they select.

e) Make the special instructions limited to 300 characters.

Thank you in advance for all responses.

Hi Alikutty - thank you for replying.

I did mention in my question that I am familiar with the catalog table variable but the customer DOES NOT want that functionality.

I am thinking that is my best bet, but I need to convince the customer that this is the only way to achieve this.

I wanted to check with the community to see if there were any other options.

Regards,

Karen

Oops, I missed that, The oob variable container has 2 column limitation. So you may require to perform HTML changes like the one with catalog table variable

Thank You

Thanks and no worries on missing that part of the conversation.

I've done 4 rows across before by using the container start, container split and container end

You just have to play around with a bit.

Thanks,

Karen
