Tags in activity log

Why does the activity log on a form, for example incident, does not display "Tags" related activity i.e when i add a tag to a incident record.

The reason is: Tags is not a field on Incident Table, so any update to Tags on Incident table will not update the Incident, thus the activity of Incident is not getting updated. You can create a Business Rule to update the Worknotes as newly created Tag. BR can be written on Label_entry table.

Thanks for your reply. Your explanation makes sense. I was just confused , why Servicenow made the Tag field available to the Activity formatter… and it does not function..

This is a known limitation in the platform and was reported via PRB1623178. As per current OOB functionality, Tags can't be displayed in the activity stream.
