Taxonomy - Mega Menu problems

Hello!

I'm in the phase of implementing a taxonomy and as such want to use the mega menu. I have one demand though from my stakeholders that I haven't been able to complete.

The problem is:

First we have a normal taxonomy:

Topic 1

    Sub-Topic 1

    Sub-Topic 2

I want to hide this taxonomy from the mega menu, but still use widgets that apply the taxonomy structure.

If i set the taxonomy as active == false, it disappears from the mega menu, but all the content also disappears.

Is there a way to solve this problem, without customizing the Employee Center Navigation widget?

When you say "still use widgets that apply the taxonomy structure", what do you mean?

Is that the record producers?

Because if you Mark a Topic as "Active" False, then it wn't show anything related to that particular topic or sub- topics.

That's the expected behaviour.

For Example :

After Active " false"

It would still show the topic but when you click on any sub-topics, it won't work.

Yeah, making a topic active or not is hiding it from the menu so thats great.

However if I set a taxonomy inactive and then use a widget for example the widget "Topic Content" nothing shows in the widget since the taxonomy it checks in is inactive
