The approval for "task" failed because the approval response email was not sent by the approver

Hello experts please I need your help, I have this issue, there is a UI action we created to send the approver's manager an email to approve in case the current approver is out of the office, everuthing works fine but once the approver's manager approves via email we get that response from the system:

 The approval for "task" failed because the approval response email was not sent by the approver

The inbound action that needs to be modified is the one called: Update Approval Request

the line I think needs to be modified is the following:

how can this be edited so that the second appriver can approve with no issue and we avoid getting that email message?

Hi Jesus,

I believe this is a OOTB inbound action and should not be modified. You can mark the current approval record as 'No Longer Required' and created another approval record for approver's manager with your custom UI action. This way it will send the notification automatically and you will not face any issues.
