the "Show All Relationships" check box on the CI Relations formatter

Hi,

Just starting to look at CI relations.

Using Istabnbul release and the current CI relations formatter

The formatter displays all relations by default - not just the suggested relationships. Is there any way to hide these? I want users to only be able to pick a "Suggested" relationship.

In the research I've done   suggests there is  a   "Show all relationships".   check-box on the formatter controlled by a role / system property "glide.ecmdb.all_relationship_role". I've tried and can't get this check-box to display for any user.   Was this just a feature of the legacy formatter, and if yes is the default to show all relationships now? You can pick a relationship that's nothing to do with the current CI class.

I'd appreciate any ideas!

Hi Adrain,

  • Show all relationships -- If you have the appropriate role (out of box this is itil_admin) you will have an additional checkbox labeled "Show all relationships." If you click that checkbox, the system will let you choose any relationship defined in the system, regardless of where it is on the "suggested" list for this type of CI.

As per my understanding, this can only be controlled for a role as the property you mentioned. Don't think the unsuggested relationship can be hidden as they have introduced the checkbox for that functionality only.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me

I tried setting the property and cannot see the check-box even as Admin, or as any user with the role.find_real_file.png
