Time Sheet Portal issue

ServiceNow Use6

Hi,

In our company we use Time Sheet Portal, the requirement is for the stories assigned, the users should not manually enter the time sheet portal but via Time Worked. So, we should make it NOT editable. If you have faced this issue and worked on it, please let me know how should I do. Kindly help.

Hi @ServiceNow Use6,

navigate to the (related) list, click right mouse button on any column label > Configure > List Control to see this

And from there you are able to Omit edit/new buttons. You can omit (disable) it for all, allow it for given roles or script it.

I believe this shall be sufficient for you because doing this by ACL could impact their ability to create records no matter how...

Let me know if this helped

Hi @GlideFather,

What you are sharing is for new button, it is not for making the story based records read-only. I am trying with UI Policy.

@ServiceNow Use6 could you possibly explain your requirement?

You shared a screenshot about time cards.. and now you said you wanted to make stories read-only? then adjust ACLs accordingly, based on roles or to match your requirements. It's not clear from the description :((
