Hi,

To create a report for unused incident sub-categories and catalog items in ServiceNow for the last 3 months, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your ServiceNow instance with appropriate administrator or reporting access.
  2. Navigate to the "Reports" module or search for "Reports" in the navigation bar.
  3. Click on "Create New" or "New Report" to start creating a new report.
  4. Select the appropriate report type, such as "Tabular" or "List" report, depending on your preference and the format you want for the report.
  5. In the report builder, specify the data source as "Incident" or "Catalog" table, depending on the type of items you want to analyze.
  6. Apply the necessary filters to retrieve data for the last 3 months. Typically, you can add a filter on the "Created" or "Opened" date field and set it to a range that covers the desired period.
  7. Add the relevant fields to the report layout. For incident sub-categories, you may include fields like "Subcategory," "Incident Number," and "Created Date." For catalog items, include fields like "Item Name," "Item Number," and "Created Date."
  8. Sort the report by the appropriate field, such as "Created Date" or "Incident Number," in ascending or descending order, depending on your preference.
  9. Optionally, you can add additional columns or filters to further refine the report, based on your specific requirements.
  10. Preview the report to ensure it displays the desired information accurately.
  11. Save the report with an appropriate name and description for future reference.
  12. Optionally, you can schedule the report to run automatically at specific intervals to get updated results without manual intervention.

By following these steps, you should be able to create a report in ServiceNow that lists the unused incident sub-categories and catalog items for the last 3 months.

Hi @Lakshmi9420 ,

You can easily create a report through report designer for the last 3 months:

And afterwards group it by category:

This will off couse only give you the categories / subcategories that have been utilized the last 3 months and not what have not been utilized the last 3 months. Based on the outcome of the report you can make your assumptions accordingly.
