To Open record in background from workspace (SOW)

We’ve recently developed a Service Operations Workspace (SOW) and are working on a feature for the dashboard page which is landing page : - https://instance.service-now.com/now/sow/dashboard

We want to enable a functionality where clicking on any number under the "Cases" tab opens the corresponding record in the background, without navigating the user away from the dashboard.

I’ve searched the ServiceNow documentation for guidance on this but haven’t found anything relevant. Could you please provide any insights, steps, or references to help implement this feature?

I don't think this is feasible.

When user clicks the Case number logically it makes sense to open that record so that user requested to view the content.

It's a proper UI experience for user
