To show catalog variables at the time of approval on esc portal

Hi Team,
We are looking for a solution on to show specific catalog variables at time of approval by approver to fill before approving the ritm . Right now we are giving users to itil access to fill the required variables and then approve from sow view.
We are trying to make this by not giving itil role to approver but to make requried variable editable on ESC portal and allowing them approve from esc portal. By this we will avoid giving ITIL access .

@sachinmishr

not a valid business requirement I think.

Why would you allow approver to enter some variable details when the request is actually submitted by a requester and requester should know all the details while submitting

Hi Ankur,
Thank you for the reply 🙂
I am seeing some confusion here . let me explain the requirement with an example:-
We have one catalog form which is having 6 variables. 4variables is for requester to fill on esc portal while submitting the form and 2 specifically available for approver to fill before approving the request.
Once the request is submitted . RITM will be created and on ritm we are showing rest of variables as mandatory to be filled by approver.
I hope this clarify the requirement.

@sachinmishr

then rather than playing with widget, you can ask the approver to visit RITM form and ensure those 2 variables are editable for them

If you want to use portal as UI then you need to have lot of customizations etc

Hi Ankur,
Yes as of now we are asking them to open ritm form but to edit those we are giving them ITIL role then they login to sow view and filling those variables and approving request.
Is there any otherway by which we can avoid giving ITIL role ??

Hi @Ankur Bawiskar ,
I saw one related community article where you mentioned about creating ACL for sc_req_item.variables which i have done but still showing read only variables on ritm page.
