tour abandoned

I created a guided tour, just to see if I could do it.  Pretty easy, it gets easier every time.  However, when I run a specific tour "Order an Apple iPad 3 from Service Catalog via Service Portal", I periodically get a red error banner that says "Tour was abandoned".  It doesn't always trigger and it seems to happen near the end of the tour but not always at the same step.  I cannot find any information within the Community about this error message.  It may be a new thing.

Has anyone else had this issue?  If so, how did you handle it?  I have attached a screenshot of the error; it doesn't stay on the screen very long, so I had to use print screen and be quick about it.

Please advise.  Thank you!

Solution #1 is not ideal because the "tour abandoned" error can show up at any time after Step #5.  I would have to insert a couple of intermediate steps and that shouldn't be necessary whenever the form changes on the screen.

I tried Solution #2 and it seems to work just fine.  Like I said, the error does not always show up but it has not shown up on the first test I ran.  I will run additional tests and see if the error shows up at all anymore.

But you may have just solved my problem.  I will let you know what further testing reveals.  Thank you very much!!

Anupam Singh provided 2 solutions that are provided in this thread.  #1 did not work.  #2 worked, but it really doesn't address the issue of what is going on.  I am having constant issues with tours being abandoned.  When I create a tour and run it, everything is fine. The next time I run it, the tour is abandoned at some point.  The next time I run it, the tour is abandoned but at a different point than the previous test.  I am running out of hair to pull out.  🙂

Hi,

Same issue I also faced but finally solved. The problem was with the URL.

Go to guided tour step, under "other" tab, "options" field will be there with URL. Add forward slash (/) after ? in the URL. Add this to all steps and check if some steps are not working remove the / for them and see.
