Hi all,
I'm new to ServiceNow, (SN), and excited about it. But as I go through the beginning of the lessons, I've been continually roadblocked by the inability to find what the lessons are talking about. ChatGPT just runs me in circles telling me to go urls that don't exist or referencing UI that just isn't there. I've made some sense of it, and located some of what I need. But there are two things that continue to remain unresolved.
1) ChatGPT keeps referring me to my "real" ServiceNow instance, most recently when I asked it what tab this directive in the lesson about branching the NeedIt app was asking me to refresh:
"To load the application files included in the tag, return to the main ServiceNow browser tab (not Studio) and click the browser's reload button to refresh the page."
So if I'm not supposed to be refreshing the tab studio is in, (now apparently called ServiceNow Studio), what tab am i supposed to be refreshing? No matter what I try, i keep getting rerouted to the marketing-style page with the 5 different creator apps, never to some "real" servicenow instance.
I'm honestly not even sure if I'm making sense trying to describe my issue here.
2) Every time I try and create an app within studio, (I just wanted to try it out, see what was there, see the script editor, etc), I get a scope name error. I've tried wiping the PDI and starting over, I've tried a dozen different app names and there's no way some of them were used by someone else already, and the error persists.
More simply, how is one supposed to navigate the lessons when everything, the UI, the UX, everything seems to have been drastically changed from what appears in the lessons.
Thanks for any help, and please pardon what might be a poor explanation of my issues, I'm pretty exasperated and deflated after many hours of roundabouts.
