Trying to reset developer forum password, what is this please?

I was unable to log into my instance for about a week due to it being down for maintenance. I should stress, I'm a one-man band and not affiliated to any company (I suspect that might be relevant in a moment).

It looks like the instance outage has been fixed, but when I try to login now it won't accept my credentials. If I try to reset my password it takes me to a screen and asks me to select a provider to send a code to, I have zero clue what this part is! I don't recognise any of the options (they look American and I'm in the UK), selecting one at random says a code has been sent but to whom I have no idea, it doesn't come to me!

What even is this! Why is it so hard to just get an instance and log into it.

Hi @Adam1978

PDI password can’t be reset like this.

  1. Go to developer.servicenow.com

  2. Log in with your user ID and password

  3. Click on your profile at the top right

  4. A menu will open on the left side

  5. There, you will find the option to reset the instance password

  6. Reset it from there and then log in
