Turning off Provider notifications during release?

During releases, we generally shutoff outbound email and clean up our outbound queue before re-enabling them so that we do not spam users with test records. Now that we're using Provider Notifications, we're wondering if there is any way to suppress only the Provider Notifications generated by our test records during our release window?

We do not want to set all of the notifications to active = false, and there is also legitimate activity in our system during releases, so we do not want to block those provider notifications.

In this case why dont you use dummy gmail ID to forward all emails generated during this period
