Two Business Rules Not Working Suddenly - Possible Causes?

I think this is due to a Xanadu upgrade, but not certain of precise date. Anyway...

For our GRC module, IDT tasks are created based on schedules every week/month/etc. We have 7 BRs that run on INSERT and UPDATE, but suddenly two of those are not running on INSERT. They do still run on UPDATE?? These are unchanged from 2-5 years ago and worked up until Xanadu upgrade.

The two marked rules, which were order 100 until I was troubleshooting, are the ones not running. Both are watching for INSERT/UPDATE to IDT where the ASSIGNEE is empty, in which case it will fill it in based on the IND.assignee_override field, and the other uses the frequency on IND and the create date of the IDT to fill in due date.

 

Neither are working when IDT are created anymore. Both work fine if I clear out the assignee (which is the IND owner and not the override until I clear it), and the IDT are fixed once I clear the assignee- it fills in correct assignee and correct due date.

 

What could be causing these to stop working on INSERT all of a sudden? How do you even check for rules that are not running when the trigger happens?

 

What I have tried- I tried changing the order so these run first, I tried re-creating the rules within the application scope that the OOB rules use, I tried AFTER/ASYNC isntead of BEFORE.

Weird solution, but try repairing or updating the GRC plugin once. If it works, great; if not, log a new support case.

I updated all the things GRC and then repaired the main GRC... no change on the business rule behavior noted, still not working on INSERT and only on UPDATE. Thank you for the tips!

If you are 100% sure on this i.e. it was working till upgrade then raise a Case with ServiceNow.
