uCMDB to ServiceNow integration

Hello experts,

We have to perform an integration between uCMDB and ServiceNow in which we will transfer data from uCMDB to SNow unidirectionally. I have a few questions-

1. Which steps I need to perform in SNow to do this integration?

2. The ServiceNow enhanced generic adapter is coming with a configuration package that will configure all prerequisites for ServiceNow side --   I read it in the following link-

ServiceNow Prerequisites

Who will provide this generic adapter- SNow or HPE?

3. Where do I have to install this generic adapter- in SNow or uCMDB?

Please help me on this integration because we have to start the implementation soon.

Thanks & Regards,

Shilpa Wadhwani

1. Is clearly described in the link you posted

2. As far as I understand the description (just briefly read it) nothing will come pre-configured on the SN side and you have to set that up in addition to the uCMDB side.

3. HP & The generic adapter ist part of the uCMDB and has be configured over there.

Thanks for the reply Oliver!

Does it mean that I do not have to do any other configuration in ServiceNow for the OOB integration except for the following four steps?

Yes, but but as far as I understand for EACH CI Class you'd like to transfer.

Eg you want to transport Windows, Unix and VM Ware hosts that would be 3 times repeating the above steps.

(Except the last one - the role can be created once and used multiple times)

Hi all, basically investigating the same story. looking at various post relationg both the document shared here and the documentation from HP/microfocus. but I can't find a compatibility matrix between the two systems so is for example ucmdb 10.11 compatible with ServiceNow Jakarta/Kingston?

Well, ServiceNow is easy on that end - the configs described in the doc are compatible and available with every version since I work here (7 years, first SN version winter 2010 - this was 2 release before Aspen...). I dont see a compatibility challenge on the SN side, cant speak for uCMDB.
